The Garrett VORTEX VX5 is a 5m waterproof metal detector featuring MD Multifrequency technology for use on all types of terrain and in water. The Garrett VORTEX VX5 features 3 detection modes (All metals, Standard, Coin) and a customizable mode. Featuring a large, intuitive backlit LCD screen for ease of use, the VORTEX VX5 is ideal for beginners, and is equipped with a 20x28 cm Raider disc.

Target identification scales

Target identification scales are one of the key features that set this series apart. The VX5 features a simple 0-99 target identification scale that allows users to quickly identify metal types. The VX7 enhances this system with a two-level target identification scale, while the VX9 goes one step further and offers a three-level target identification scale for even more precise identification.

MD-MF frequencies

Frequencies play a crucial role in metal detection in different types of soil. The VX5 operates on two multi-frequencies, making it versatile and effective in different environments.

Variable response speeds and wireless connectivity

Variable response speed is another strong point of the Vortex series. While the VX5 offers no adjustable response speed, the VX7 comes with two settings and the VX9 with three. This feature enables finer adjustment of speed and increases search accuracy. All models from the VX7 upwards are wirelessly activated, enabling convenient, interference-free operation. This is particularly useful for professional treasure hunters who spend long periods in the field.
