Novelty Upgradeability

The revolutionary feature of the Garrett Vortex series is its upgradeability. For the first time, you can upgrade your metal detector to a higher model up to VX9 through software updates. This means that you can turn your VX5 into a VX7 or even a VX9 without having to buy a completely new detector. This innovative feature ensures that your device always remains at the cutting edge of technology and that you can benefit from the latest functions.

VX9 waterproof up to 5 meters

The Garrett Vortex VX9 is fully waterproof to 5 meters. Designed for dusty, humid or wet environments. For underwater / water use, we recommend underwater headphones.

The VX9 extends the range even further with seven modes, including modes for thin coins and beach conditions, making it ideal for different conditions. Search modes are Zero, Standard, US Coin, Thin Coin, Beach, Custom and Fast.

Target ID scales

The Target ID scales are one of the main features that characterize this series. The VX9 goes even further than the VX7 and VX5 and offers a three-stage Target ID scale that enables even more precise identification.

MD-MF frequencies

Frequencies play a decisive role in the detection of metals in different types of soil. The VX9 adopts these seven frequencies and thus offers the highest adaptability and precision.

Variable response speeds and wireless connection

The variable reaction speed is another highlight of the Vortex series. The VX9 offers three setting options. This function enables finer adjustment to the speed and increases the accuracy of the search. All models from the VX7 onwards are wireless enabled, allowing for convenient and interference-free use. This is particularly useful for professional treasure hunters who spend long periods of time in the field.

Additional setting options

The Vortex series also offers functions such as sensitivity settings, a variable number of ID tones and iron volume. With the VX9, these setting options are fully integrated and contribute to a comprehensive search experience.
